PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

On Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021 at 12:36PM, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of James Madison Hwy. and Graduation Dr. in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced that the Freedom Readiness Center in Sykesville, MD, will be officially renamed after retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Linda L. Singh, at her official portrait unveiling ceremony on Oct.16, 2021. Singh was the first African American and the first woman to lead the Maryland National Guard as the 29th adjutant genera.

Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer, said that residents reported to police that a gunshot was fired in the above area before two vehicles were observed leaving the area.

A resident reported to police that while inside the home several gunshots were heard before rounds entered the Woodbridge home. A police K-9 searched the area for any suspect(s) who were not located.

On Monday, Oct.18, 2021 at 11:51PM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to the Haven Woodbridge Apartments located in the 13900 block of Longwood Manor Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. Upon arriving at the apartment, Public Information Officer MPO Renee Carr said that officers located the victim, a 28-year-old woman, suffering from injuries to her face.

PW Health Districts says: "If you were treated with certain medicines for your COVID-19 infection, you should wait at least 90 days after your last treatment to get vaccinated. Talk to your healthcare provider for more information."

Congressman Gerald Connolly (D-11), who represents part of the Prince William County area, will virtually host his annual Senior Issues Forum via Zoom on Friday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m.

On Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at 2:44PM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to area of Linton Hall Rd and Rollins Ford Rd in Bristow (20136) to investigate a single vehicle crash.
