PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.
With COVID-19 cases surging and as part of UVA Health’s continued commitment to protect the health of its patients, team members, and communities-at-large, visitors are not permitted in inpatient units, emergency departments, outpatient clinics and outpatient procedural areas at UVA Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, UVA Haymarket Medical Center and UVA Culpeper Medical Center, The restrictions began at 8 p.m., Dec. 30.

A police K-9 and helicopter assistance from Fairfax County police searched the area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation revealed that the caller was on her balcony when she observed an unknown man appearing to check vehicle door handles in the parking lot.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, reported to police that while outside in the above area, he encountered three unknown men. During the encounter, one of the suspects struck the victim with a rock. The victim then fell to the ground and momentarily lost consciousness.

On Dec. 21, 2021 investigators with the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit were notified of the identity of the driver who died as a result of the single-vehicle crash that occurred in the 12500 block of Purcell Rd. in Manassas (20112) on Dec. 15.
