PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

On Saturday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will sponsor NOVA Day at the Manassas Mall, 8300 Sudley Road, Manassas.
Members of the VFW Post 7589 in Manassas will conduct a Memorial Day service at 8:30 a.m. May 26 followed by placing American flags on the graves of veterans at Manassas Cemetery.
Volunteers are needed to bag 40,000 pounds of sweet potatoes, to tutor adults who want to learn to read and to hand out fliers and sort donations for SERVE.

High schools in Prince William County observed a moment of silence on Friday, May 23 to honor through remembrance the men and women of our armed forces who have given their lives in the defense of the freedoms enjoyed by all who live in the United States. As witness to their sacrifice, the names of those lost who have graduated from Prince William County County Public Schools are read during this time.
Congressman Gerry Connolly (11th district of Virginia) is partnering with Prince William County Public Schools to present an information session on June 2 for for parents and those students interested in attending one of the five U.S. service academies.
On May 23rd at 1:09PM, officers responded to the 1900 block of Darlington Lp in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing. Officers arrived at the scene and located an adult man on the sidewalk suffering from a stab wound to the upper body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A built-to-specs laboratory outfitted with equipment enabling researchers to harvest energy in new ways from waves, sun, and wind, as well as mechanical vibration such as railroad trains produce opened today in India for Virginia Tech, according to a news release from the Virginia governor's office.

Sally Adams, program coordinator for the United Methodist Women at Old Bridge UMC said she first became aware of local human trafficking issues while attending an event sponsored by the Soroptomists. "People think it just happens in Cambodia," Adams said. "But it happens here and we can't turn the other way."

A memorial service was held on Aug. 11, 2024 for Betty Thomas Anastasi, 99, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Commonwealth Senior Living of Manassas.
Edward James Wyrsch passed away on August 4, 2024 at his home in Haymarket, VA .
