Prince William Fire & Rescue reminds parents to be mindful of their child’s safety when visiting someone’s else's home. The leading cause of death among children are accidents. Read on for a partial list of child dangers you may not have considered.

Ten Commandments scout hike set for Feb. 7 in Manassas

Scouts and their families will be participating in a circuit hike (about 4 miles) through the City of Manassas Feb. 7, weather permitting with stops at five churches. Participants will donate food and will pick up trash along the way. At each stop a church representative will conduct an interactive discussion with the youth about two of the Ten Commandments along with a brief introduction to their particular religious denomination.

Santa will be traveling in his fire sleigh throughout the Haymarket area on Sunday, Dec. 22 from 1:30 to 5 p.m. He will be stopping at various spots to visit with children who come out to talk with him.
