Amy Ashworth, Commonwealth’s Attorney for Prince William County, has announced the successful prosecution in the Prince William County Circuit Court, of Adrian Kendall Bryant arising from the July 21, 2021, murder of a 17-year-old juvenile in Woodbridge, Va. National Merit fallout - Legislation to outlaw delaying accolades and awards from Va. students

In response to reports that Fairfax County withheld National Merit awards from students, thereby jeopardizing their scholarship opportunities, Gov.Youngkin asked the Atty. General to investigate Fairfax County's handling of 1,000+ students who were not notified of National Merit Awards. Now, the controversy has spread to 16 Northern Virginia schools, including Loudoun and Prince William counties, who delayed notifying students of their National Merit recognition.
