On January 1 at 8:53AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4500 block of Dodds Mill Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a destruction of property. The homeowner reported to police that two bullet holes were discovered near the front porch area of the residence.

A major component of Prince William County homeless services is sheltering. The county coordinates services at two shelters in the county, as well as a drop-in center, to serve various segments of the homeless population, which numbered 400 at the last count in 2016.

Dr. Steven M. Constantino, Ed.D, a former principal of Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, has been appointed as Acting Superintendent of Public Instruction. Dr. Constantino most recently served as the Chief Academic Officer/Assistant Superintendent, Division of Instruction for the Virginia Department of Education. He is considered a national expert in the field of family engagement and is the author of four books on the subject.
