Manassas City Police have charged a Manassas Park resident with involuntary manslaughter in a Dec. 2, 2023 auto accident in the 8900 block of Center Street that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.

After notifying a next-of-kin, Prince William County Police announced the identity of the victim killed in the shooting that occurred in the area of Bronson Ct. and Brickwood Dr. in the Dale City area of Woodbridge (22193)about 2 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024. The victim was identified as Egypt Zapporah CARTER, 23, of Burlington, NC

Homicide Investigation – On Friday, Feb. 2, 2024 at 2:07AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Bronson Ct. and Brickwood Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. Upon arriving in the area, officers located a 23-year-old woman inside of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Fire and rescue responded and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

PWC Police said their investigation revealed the victim, a 35-year-old man, was followed into the store by an acquaintance, identified as the accused. Once inside the business, the accused demanded money from the victim. No encounter occurred with employees or the business itself, according to the police report.

Ernesto Febus, USMC (ret), has been named to Young Marines Board of Directors. The organization is headquartered in Prince William County.
