Police looking for clues in homicide of Woodbridge man, 18

On October 27, 2022 at 10:24PM officers responded to the 13900 block of Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located a community member in the parking lot of a local business providing first aid to an 18-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Man injured in Lake Ridge home fire Oct. 25

This morning, Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022 at 5:19 AM fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 12000 block of Hatchway Ct. (Lake Ridge) for a reported single-family dwelling fire, according to Matt Smolsky, deputy chief of Prince William Fire & Rescue.

Ten people displaced by fire at Balls Ford Rd. house

On Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 at 9:05 PM Prince William Fire & Rescue units were dispatched to the 10200 block of Balls Ford Road (Manassas) for a reported single-family dwelling fire. Crews arrived to find a working basement fire with all occupants out of the home, according to Matt Smolsky, Deputy Fire Chief.

Early morning fire Oct. 21 in Montclair displaces family of four

On Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 at 12:13 AM units were dispatched to the 15000 block of Mimosa Trail (Montclair) for a single-family dwelling fire.

When firewood is moved from one area to another, the invasive emerald ash borer, spongy moth, Asian longhorned beetle, and spotted lanternfly often “hitchhike” to destroy crops, infect more trees and sometimes even entire forests.

PW Police investigating quadruple homicide in Dale City

Prince William County police detectives have charged a 24-year-old Woodbridge man in connection to the deaths of four adults that occurred at a home located in the 5200 block of Mansfield Ct in Woodbridge (22193) on October 17. All four decedents and the suspect were residents of the home and known to one another. Three of the deceased are family members, while the fourth was a tenant who resided in the basement. The suspect was identified as an acquaintance of another family member who also resided at the residence and was not present during the incident.
