On August 31st at 4:52PM, officers responded to the PNC Bank within the Giant Grocery Store located at 12445 Hedges Run Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an armed robbery.

Many of us have received calls from individuals claiming to be from the Social Security Administration, local authorities, and even the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), who will never legitimately contact anyone by telephone! Please be aware that a new scam emerging is by a man claiming to be an agent of the U.S. Department of Treasury, asking you to speak with him so that you may “help them help you.”

On Thursday, Aug. 27, local residents and dignitaries paid tribute to school's namesake, Officer Chris Yung during a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the new school.

A preliminary review of the August 17th officer involved shooting which occurred on Tory Loop in Woodbridge has been completed.
