Fairfax County Sheriff Stacey Kincaid presented her agency’s highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award, to Captain William Friedman of Woodbridge, VA, a 19-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office. Before joining the agency, Friedman served 12 years in the Army, on both active and reserve duty.

Double Fatal Crash Investigation – On November 28 at 9:48AM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Lee Hwy and Heathcote Blvd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a crash.

On November 26, detectives from the Prince William County Police Homicide Unit identified and arrested the suspect involved in the murder of an adult man, later identified as Samuel Enrique Godoy-Figueroa, which occurred in the 8000 block of Stream Walk Ln in Manassas on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24.

On November 25, 2016 at approximately 1 a.m. Manassas City police officers responded to the 9200 block of Byrd Drive for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located a male suffering from several gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
