May 1 Attorney General Mark R. Herring will begin his fourth annual statewide public safety tour. On April 25 at 3:27AM, Prince William County Police Department investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the intersection of Prince William Pkwy and Balls Ford Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a two vehicle crash between a tractor double trailer and a sedan, according to Officer Nathan Probus, police department spokesman.

On April 24 at 11:34PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to an apartment located in the 3500 block of Sherbrooke Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to assist the county's Department of Fire and Rescue with an apartment fire.

On April 21 at 9:53PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence in the 11100 block of Privates Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived at the home, they located the victim, a 27-year-old man of Manassas, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was flown to an area hospital for treatment.

On April 19 at 5:04 p.m. City of Manassas Fire and Rescue units were called to the 8700 block of Bretton Woods Drive in Manassas for a structure fire. Prior to their arrival, neighbors witnessed heavy black smoke coming from upper level bedroom windows with two juveniles yelling for help.
