Hylton High and Beville Middle students build and place ‘Little Free Libraries’ in the community

Students in the cabinet-making class at Hylton High School and students in an after-school program at Beville Middle School have been working with Prince William County Public Schools to build Little Free Libraries for use in or near schools. Little Free Libraries are small cabinets filled with free books that are placed in public areas in communities in more than 80 countries.

Dumfries residents like new library location and expanded facilities

A bigger and better Dumfries Neighborhood Library recently opened in the Triangle Shopping Plaza, and people are excited about it. During a recent ribbon cutting, a crowd of about 50 packed the library, with its two community rooms, a larger childrens' area and more public access computers.

Deborah Wright now PW Library System director

Prince William's new library director is Deborah Wright, who has 14 years of experience in the Prince William Public Library System, including two years as the Assistant Library Director where she oversaw public services in 11 branches and had direct supervision of the branch administrators.
