Prince William County Board of Supervisors proclaimed October 11 "Poets Laureate Day" in recognition of In the Company of Laureates, the five-state gathering of award-winning poets at the Hylton Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Virginia Screenwriting Competition entries due by May 25

Virginia Film Office is accepting screenplays, 90-120 pages, and for the first time, one-hour television pilots, 60-90 pages, all with a Virginia "connection" for the 27th Virginia Screenwriting Competition. Virginia residents/students only. No entry fee. Entries are due in standard screenwriting style via PDF by midnight on May 25, 2015.

New art exhibit on water subjects opens March 17 at Manassas City Hall

Del. Anderson’s Art Day at the Capitol on Feb. 20

Delegate Richard Anderson, who represents the 51st District in Prince William County, will sponsor his second Art Day at the Capitol Program on Friday, Feb. 20 from 9:30 to noon in the Fourth Floor West Conference Room at the General Assembly Building.
