Prince William County VA School Board has approved its $861 million operating budget for 2012-13. This includes step increases for the school division's approximately 5,000 teachers and 5,000 support personnel. Manassas police cruiser hits townhouse

A city of Manassas VA police cruiser struck a townhouse and two vehicles in the vicinity of Grant Avenue and Buckner Road when the police officer lost control of the vehicle enroute to an emergency call on March 23. All parties involved were evaluated at Prince William Hospital and released. The Manassas City fire marshal deemed the house uninhabitable until repairs are made. The townhouse residents were relocated by the American Red Cross. The accident is under investigation.
