There was no school for students at the new Baldwin Elementary School in the city of Manassas VA today, Tuesday, Jan. 10, because of standing water in the building due to frozen pipes and no heat. Late this afternoon, the Manassas City school division announced there will be no school for students on Wednesday, Jan. 11, due to the remaining clean-up in the building from the presence of water.

Governor McAuliffe today issued Executive Order 61, which will advance the cause of equality in Virginia by requiring all future state contractors with the Executive Branch to agree to a non-discrimination policy that includes discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. On January 4 at 3:41PM, officers responded to the area of Rixlew Ln and Ashton Ave in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located two male victims by a wooded area near the above location.
