PWC Police report large group fighting at Coverstone and Aaron Lane in Manassas

Prince William County VA Police Department’s report for Tuesday, July 26, 2016:

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation – On July 23 at 1:08PM, officers responded to the 1400 block of Worth Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a stabbing call. The victim, a 45-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in a parking lot in the above area when she was involved in a verbal altercation with the driver of a vehicle. During the encounter, the driver of the vehicle got out and punched the victim in the face. At some point, a passenger in the vehicle also got out and cut the victim in the neck with a knife. Both suspects drove away in the vehicle and the victim contacted police. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.  The investigation continues.

Strangulation | Malicious Wounding | Assault by Mob – On July 22 at 8:39PM, officers responded to the area of Coverstone Dr and Aaron Ln in Manassas (22109) to investigate a large group fighting in the area. When officers arrived, they located two victims, a 32-year-old woman of Manassas and 31-year-old man of Culpeper, who reported that they were in the above area when they were involved in a verbal altercation with several acquaintances which escalated. During the encounter, the suspects began assaulting the male victim. When the female victim attempted to intervene, she was choked causing her to lose consciousness. At some point, the female victim was also cut on the hand causing a deep laceration. The suspects fled the area when officers arrived. Both victims were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Officers checked the area and did not locate the suspects. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Armed Robbery – On July 25 at 9:04AM, officers responded to the Exxon service station located at 7113 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store brandishing two handguns and demanding money. The man took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 and helicopter responded to search for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.

Black male, unknown age, 6’00’’, 200lbs with a medium build
Last seen wearing a black mask, black shirt, and black jeans carrying a multi-colored backpack

Strong Armed Robbery – On July 25 at 9:40AM, officers responded to the 1400 block of Promenade Commons St in Gainesville (20105) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 22-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was walking to her vehicle in the above area when she was approached from behind by an unknown man.  During the encounter, the suspect assaulted the victim then took a bank deposit bag. The suspect then got into a nearby vehicle and fled the area. Minor injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary – On July 25 at 5:27AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6400 block of Colonial Village Lp in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30PM on July 24 and 5:27AM on July 25. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a window which was found damaged. No property was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On July 26 at 2:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Creekview Cir in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that an unknown man was seen attempting to open a rear door. When the homeowner confronted the man, he fled on foot. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. Officers checked the area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.

Black male, unknown age, 6’01”, 250lbs with a heavy build, dark complexion, brown eyes, and short black hair

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On July 24 at 7:18AM, officers responded to the 2000 block of Daniel Stuart Sq in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 22-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was involved in a verbal altercation inside a business in the above area with an unknown man, later identified as the accused. After the parties separated, the victim attempted to drive away in his vehicle when he was approached by the accused a second time. During the encounter, the accused head-butted the victim while wearing a motorcycle helmet then punched him in the face. The accused then fled the area and the victim contacted police. Officers responded the residence of the accused and detained him without incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Nathaniel Adam POWELL, 22, of 3092 Woods Cove Ln in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 23 at 12:50AM, an officer conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Sudley Rd and Campus Dr in Manassas (20109) for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, the accused was determined to be intoxicated. As the accused was being placed under arrest, he resisted and kicked two officers in the lower body. The accused was quickly detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on July 23:
Jess Calvin TONEY, 44, of 122 Main St in Warrenton
Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on a LEO, 1 count of resisting arrest, 1 count of driving under the influence, 1 count of unreasonable refusal, and 1 count of driving while a revoked habitual offender
Court Date: September 2, 2016 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 20 at 5:05AM, officers responded to a medical office located in the 12800 block of Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a disorderly patient. Officers arrived and made contact with the woman, identified as the accused, who exhibited signs of intoxication. When the officers attempted to detain the accused, she resisted and kicked two officers in the upper body. The accused was quickly detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on July 20:
Lolita HARRISON, 54, of 4509 S Four Mile Run Dr in Arlington
Charged with 3 counts of assault & battery on a LEO, 1 count of disorderly conduct, and 1 count of resisting arrest
Court Date: September 8, 2016 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond
