Narcotics Investigation—ARRESTS
On June 13, the remaining two accused individuals in this investigation were arrested without incident. Arrested: Charles Omus Deeds Jr. of 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas. Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm with narcotics and conspiracy to distribute marijuana. Arrested: Daniel Matthew Deeds, 34, of 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas. Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Court date and bond information for both unavailable.
Narcotics Investigation (Previously Released)
On June 10, police were executing a search warrant at 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas in reference to an ongoing investigation when narcotics were discovered. Over 4 lbs. of marijuana, cocaine and heroin were recovered, as well as multiple firearms, including rifles and handguns. Police also seized an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The following individuals were either arrested or currently being sought by police. Arrested: Charles Omus Deeds III, 35, of 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas. Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm with narcotics and conspiracy to distribute marijuana. Court date set for July 27, 2011, held without bond.
Wanted: Charles Omus Deeds Jr., 60, of 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas. Considered Armed and Dangerous. Described as a white male, 5’10” 185 lbs., blue eyes, brown hair. Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm with narcotics and conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Wanted: Daniel Matthew Deeds, 34, of 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas. Considered Armed and Dangerous. Described as a white male, 6’0” 210 lbs., blue eyes, blonde hair. Wanted for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
ARRESTS
Aggravated Malicious Wounding
On June 12 at 2:58 p.m., police responded to investigate a reported assault reported to have occurred in the 3500 block of Melrose Ave. in Triangle. The investigation revealed that the female victim, 42, was involved in an altercation with the accused, a known acquaintance. During the encounter, the accused allegedly threw an ignited pan at the victim causing severe burns to the victim’s upper body. The victim was treated for her injuries. The accused was arrested and charged. Arrested: Phillip Allan Harper, 46, of 3547 Melrose Ave. Apt A in Triangle. Charged with aggravated malicious wounding. Court date unavailable, held without bond.
Narcotics Investigation
On June 13, police concluded a narcotics investigation with the execution of an arrest warrant and search warrant at 3007 Antrim Cir in Dumfries. Police had received information that narcotics were being sold in the River Ridge area of Dumfries. Through the investigation, police obtained the arrest warrant for one of the accused, Clements. As police were executing that warrant, the accused took off running but was located after an extensive search of the area. A search of his person and vehicle revealed cocaine, marijuana and U.S. currency. Police then obtained and executed the search warrant, which resulted in additional marijuana, cocaine and prescription medication being recovered. During the investigation, police also arrested Brown with a marijuana charge without incident. Arrested: Carlton Wade Clements, 46, of 3007 Antrim Circle in Dumfries. Charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of possession with intent to schedule I or II narcotic, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cocaine. Melvin Shawn Brown Jr., 18, of 3007 Antrim Circle in Dumfries. Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Court date for both is set for Aug. 22, 2011, bond information unavailable.
INCIDENT REPORTS
Strong Armed Robbery
On June 13 at 11:51 p.m., police responded to the 14300 block of Randall Dr. in Woodbridge for an assault. The male victim, 20, reported to police he was in the area above when he was approached by two unknown men who assaulted him and took his cell phone. A witness to the assault yelled towards the men who then took off running. The victim sustained minor injuries. Lookout: two black males, both reported to be between 18 and 25, 5’11” 180 lbs., medium build. No clothing description available.
Strong Armed Robbery
On June 13 at 5 p.m., police responded to the 16200 block of Sheffield Dr in Dumfries for a robbery. The male victim, 17 of Dumfries, reported to police he and a friend were walking in the area above when they were approached by two known male acquaintances. One of the males grabbed a shopping bag the victim was carrying. Both males then left the area. No injuries were reported. Investigation continues.
Burglary
On June 10 at 3:38 p.m., police responded to the 7200 block of Traphill Way in Gainesville for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police he was in the basement when a strange noise was heard upstairs. As he went to investigate the noise, he discovered two unknown men inside the residence. He challenged both men who then took off running out of the front door. No injuries were reported. No items were reported missing. Lookout: Two black males— first male was between 23 and 24, 5’08” 195 lbs., muscular build, long dreadlocks and had a beard. Last seen wearing a black tank top, blue jeans and had a tattoo on both forearms. Second male was between 18 and 19, 5’6” 350 lbs., heavy build, bald and had a goatee.
