Congressman Gerry Connolly, who represents part of Prince William County, and other representatives of the National Capital Region on March 16 requested the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development continue to provide the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) with $150 million in federal funds for critical capital and safety improvements.

On March 18 at 2:28AM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Prince William Parkway and Noble Pond Way in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a two-vehicle crash. One of the drivers died at the scene, according to Officer Brian A. McCleese, police department spokesman.
