PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

To celebrate, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe proclaims August 3-9, 2014 as “Virginia Farmers’ Market Week.”
A Master Plan for the restoration of Liberia Plantation in the city of Manassas was named the Outstanding Preservation Plan during the American Planning Association's Virginia Chapter Annual Awards, according to Patty Prince, public affairs specialist for the city. Liberia, built in 1825, was occupied by both Confederate and Union forces.
For future Virginia Elections, voters must present one of several acceptable forms of photo identification when voting.

For the ninth straight year, many clothing items, footwear, and school and office supplies will be sales tax-free during the first full weekend in August.
The American Red Cross encourages all eligible blood donors to make an appointment to donate blood soon to help prevent a shortage. People can give blood close to home in several locations in Manassas, Manassas Park, Gainesville, Haymarket and Woodbridge during the coming weeks.
