The School Board of the City of Manassas will hold a Special Meeting/Retreat on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. and on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 7:15 a.m. at the Virginia School Boards Association, 200 Hansen Rd. Ste 2, Charlottesville, VA.
Governor Terry McAuliffe has appointed CSM Victor S. Angry, ARNG (Ret.) and Lee Odems, both of Woodbridge, to state boards, according to a news release from the Governor's Office.
Governor Terry McAuliffe announced July 14 that Virginia will receive $834,991 in federal funds from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Coastal Resilience Grant appropriations to reduce the impacts of storm flooding through natural and nature-based infrastructure.

Governor Terry McAuliffe announced July 14 that Virginia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Mexico City to formalize a bilateral relationship aimed at expanding business opportunities and trade and strengthening cultural, historic, and economic ties through coordinated joint initiatives.

Manassas City Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program July 24-Aug. 11. Breakfast (8:30-9 a.m.) and lunch (noon-12:45 p.m.) will be provided to all children without charge and will be the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
