Prince William County Human Rights Commission will celebrate Universal Human Rights Day virtually on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at 10 a.m., according to a county news release. The day will include the annual presentation of the Human Rights Awards given to members of the community who provide unique contributions to human and civil rights.
“We didn’t have an alternative other than to do it; to do it right, to jump a little higher, to try a little harder to shoot a little straighter,” says Kathryn (Clark) Childers, one of the first five women sworn in. “I am pleased and proud of the Secret Service for making gender a non-issue.”
