Manassas City Council budget work session scheduled for March 25, 2015 has been CANCELLED. Items on that agenda will be considered on the work session agenda scheduled for April 8, 2015.

Prince William County to advertise tax rate at $1.122

Prince William Board of County Supervisors voted March 3 to advertise the real estate tax rate for Fiscal 2016 at $1.122 per $100 of assessed value, a 3.88 percent increase over last year’s average residential tax bill.

Dale City water system to be flushed for about 30 days beginning April 6

Virginia American Water said March 30 that hydrant flushing is scheduled to begin in its Prince William system from Monday, April 6, through early May. The routine work is being done as part of the company’s annual pipeline flushing program to improve water service by flushing out mineral deposits and sediment from water mains.
