Law enforcement officers injured in line of duty, according to PWC Police reports

Assault & Battery on a Corrections Officer – On June 19 at 10:00PM, officers responded to the Prince William – Manassas Adult Detention Center located at 9320 Lee Ave in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault on a staff member. The investigation revealed the corrections officer was conducting a search of a cell when the accused refused to exit. At one point, the accused attempted to push past the corrections officer. The accused was then detained and became combative. While being escorted to another area of the facility, the accused bit the corrections officer on the arm. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Patrick TABI, was charged.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 19 at 12:00PM, officers were at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center located at 2300 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) attempting to transport the accused to another facility. The accused was initially at the hospital after being detained on an Emergency Custody Order. When officers attempted to move the accused, he became combative and took up a fighting stance. At one point, the accused lunged towards two of the officers, grabbing them around the waist. The accused knocked one of the officers to the ground and continued to be combative. An additional officer and a Virginia State Trooper, who were at the hospital on an unrelated incident, assisted in gaining control of the accused. After a brief struggle, the accused was eventually detained. One of the officers reported minor injuries. The accused was not injured. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Kareem Dawon JACKSON, was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 18 at 12:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14300 block of Springbrook Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault. The investigation revealed the accused had assaulted a family member during an alteration inside the home. When officers attempted to speak to the accused about the incident, the grabbed a kitchen knife, pointed it towards the officers, and demanded they leave the home. A family member was able to convince the accused to drop the knife and he was subsequently detained. While being handcuffed, the accused became combative and a struggle ensued. The accused, identified as Matthew James PRITCHERT, was eventually handcuffed and transported to the Adult Detention Center. The initial victim from the domestic assault was treated on scene for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
