Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On April 11, Darwin PETERSON, wanted for an assault that occurred at a residence located in the 7500 block of Purdue Ct in Manassas on February 22, was located and arrested in Fairfax County without incident.

Charged with malicious wounding

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On February 22 at 4:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7500 block of Purdue Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 25-year-old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal argument which escalated. During the encounter, the accused punched the victim in the head causing a laceration. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused.
**INCIDENTS**
Residential Burglary – On April 10 at 3:50PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Birchdale Blvd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM and 3:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have made into the home through an open window. A computer laptop and jewelry were reported missing.
Burglary to a School | Arson Investigation – On April 10 at 8:00AM, officers responded to the old Dean Kilby Elementary School building located at 1800 Horner Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. School staff reported to police that sometime between 3:00PM and 6:00PM on April 9, entry was made into the building through several glass doors that were found shattered. Evidence of several small past fires was observed inside the building. This incident is being jointly investigated by the Prince William County Police and the Department of Fire and Rescue’s Fire Marshals’ Office.
Commercial Burglary – On April 10 at 6:34AM, officers responded to the Statements- the Salon at 2253 Old Bridge Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The store manager reported to police that sometime between 7:00PM on April 9 and 5:30AM on April 10, entry was made into the business. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. Money was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On April 8 at 12:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3300 block of Vineland Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary in progress. The investigation revealed that homeowner returned home and discovered an unknown male inside. The suspect fled the residence out the back door when he was challenged by the homeowner. Officers searched the surrounding area for the suspect who was not located. There is no suspect description available at this time.
Residential Burglary – On April 7 at 2:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4800 block of Sudley Rd in Catharpin (20143) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 10:30AM and 2:30PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a side door that was found damaged. Jewelry and coins were reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Barricade Situation – On April 8 at 7:35PM, officers responded to the 8200 block of Wycliffe Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic. The initial investigation revealed that the victim, identified as a 48-year-old woman of Manassas, and the accused were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused broke both of the side mirrors of the victim’s vehicle. When officers arrived, the accused entered his residence and refused to exit after repeated commands. While he was inside, the accused called 9-1-1 several times and made threatening statements. At one point, the accused exited the residence and threw rocks at the officers then retreated back inside. Following negotiations, officers forced entry into the home around 8:30AM on April 9 and took the accused into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Kenneth Roy WOODARD, 49, of the 8200 block of Wycliffe Ct
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, calling 911 without just cause, threats by electronic means, and destruction of property

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On April 8 at 3:04AM, officers responded to a hotel located in the 14300 block of Crossing Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to locate a possible missing male juvenile. During the investigation, officers located the missing male juvenile and another female juvenile, heavily intoxicated and asleep inside one of the hotel rooms. When officers attempted to detain the female juvenile, she became agitated and struck an officer in the chest. The accused was quickly detained and arrested without further incident.
