DAR and SAR to co-host a genealogy workshop in Warrenton Nov.7
Fauquier Court House Chapter, DAR and Culpeper Minutemen Chapter, SAR, will co-host a Genealogy Workshop on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Warrenton Presbyterian Church, 91 Main Street. Sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m. and finish at 3:30 p.m.
The workshop is free to the public and will include a continental breakfast and a warm lunch. Reservations are required. Contact Cat Schwetke at

SAR Genealogist General John Sinks, PhD, will be the featured speaker. Sinks will talk on “Discovering Who Was a Culpeper Minute Man” over the lunch hour. A local attorney will speak on researching local court records. Virginia State SAR Registrar will talk on SAR documentation and other topics. such as DNA and Internet resources.
