A funeral service for Gary Ray Maness, 62, of Haymarket, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Clover Hill Church, 12310 Bailey Bridge Road, Midlothian, VA 23112, near Richmond. The family will receive friends at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Gary went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 12, 2023.

Half-staff flags in memory of Va. Tech shootings in 2007

Governor Glenn Youngkin ordered that the flags of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia be flown at half-staff on all state and local buildings and grounds in the Commonwealth of Virginia in memory and respect of the 16th Anniversary of the Virginia Tech shooting. Some 32 people were killed in this incident.

Pat Conroy dies; former mayor of Town of Occoquan

Pat Conroy, who served four consecutive two-year terms as mayor of Occoquan, from July 1998 through June 2006, recently passed away in Florida.
