Lily, a one-year-old chocolate lab, is more than an adorable puppy, she’s a dog with a job to do. Lily’s owners, Gina and Mike Post, the owners and operators of the Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center, are having her trained as a grief service dog.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 7, 2021, at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas, for Richard "Skip" Zilka who passed away March 22, 2021. Father Ed Guilloux officiated. Interment was private at Quantico National Cemetery with military honors.

Grace Ann Nichol of Haymarket, mother of two

A memorial service will be held on April 10 for Grace Ann Nichol of Haymarket, who passed away March 31, 2021.

Timothy John Shevlin, land surveying specialist, beach lover, father of three

Timothy John Shevlin, 55, of Middleburg, VA passed away on Feb. 19, 2021 after a long and brave fight with prostate cancer. Tim spent 30+ years working as a Land Surveying Specialist at Schools & Townsend in Manassas, Virginia where he made many close, lifelong friends who felt more like family than coworkers.
