Prince William County VA Police Department's crime report for Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 includes arrests for sexual assault of a child, an attempted escape and assault on a correctional officer at the Adult Detention Center in Manassas VA and an assault on a law enforcement officer. In addition a residential burglary and three attempted burglaries were reported. The burglary and one of the attempted burglaries were on the same street.

Prince William County VA Police Department's crime report for Friday, Aug. 17 includes report of human remains found by a Manassas area homeowner in the woods behind his residence. The remains were transported to the medical examiner's office for further analysis.

A man accused of burglarizing a Heritage Hunt home on July 26 has been charged with several additional burglary charges in relation to break-ins in the Gainesville VA community. Also facing additional burglary charges is a 19-year-old Gainesville woman whom police alleged to be his accomplice.
