Coles Supervisor Yesli Vega issued this statement: "Today (April 25, 2024) I was notified that graffiti including antisemitic symbols were found at Coles Elementary and Benton Middle School. I want to express my unwavering support for our Jewish community. In Prince William County, we firmly reject any form of hatred."

Restrictions lifted; cat adoptions resume at Prince William County Animal Shelter

As a result of laboratory tests, and in consultation with a university shelter veterinary program, Prince William County Animal Shelter has resumed cat adoptions and surrenders. Eight adult cats now are waiting for a forever home with a loving individual or family.

Oct. 10 Prince William County candidates’ forum at Congregation Ner Shalom

Congregation Ner Shalom will host a candidates night on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 7 to 10 p.m. A meet-and-greet with refreshments will be followed by a formal question and answer forum. Hank Silverberg, a freelance journalist and author, will moderate.

Prince William County government holds 9/11 remembrance ceremony

A crowd gathered to remember and honor 22 county residents lost during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, during Prince William County's 9-11 remembrance ceremony, Friday, Sept. 11, 2015. The remembrance ceremony was held at the Liberty Memorial at the government center in Woodbridge.

Senior center in Manassas getting its first-ever facelift

People who use the Manassas Senior Center are seeing work on a $600,000 expansion scheduled to be completed in December. It will include room to run aerobics, belly dancing, line dancing, tap dancing, yoga and tai chi classes that are currently bursting the seams. The center will remain open during construction.
