Governor Terry McAuliffe and the state Board of Education announced Aug. 8 that Prince William County Schools were among those that earned 2017 Virginia Index of Performance (VIP) awards for advanced learning and achievement.

UPDATED - Governor Terry McAuliffe has approved a $350,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist Prince William County with a renovation-expansion of U.S. Foods' distribution facility in the Manassas area. Funding and services to support the company's employee training activities for about 100 new jobs over the next five years will be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program, according to the Governor's Office.
