Woodbridge walker injured in attack by five masked men

Strong Armed Robbery *ARREST – On August 10, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit located the fourth suspect who was wanted in connection to a robbery which occurred in the area of Tackhouse Ct and Tackhouse Lp in Gainesville on July 17. SIAKAM was arrested without incident leaving his residence in Haymarket.

Steven Nawe SIAKAM, 19, of the 5900 block of Amber Ridge Rd in Haymarket
Charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit a robbery

Strong Armed Robbery *ARRESTS [Previously Released]– On July 29, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified and arrested multiple suspects involved in the robbery which occurred in the area of Tackhouse Ct and Tackhouse Lp in Gainesville on July 17. The investigation revealed that the suspects conspired to rob the victim during the narcotics transaction. Following the investigation, three suspects, including two juveniles, were located and arrested. A fourth suspect was also identified. Detectives have since obtained arrest warrants for that suspect, identified as Steven Nawe SIAKAM.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On July 17 at 9:53PM, officers responded to the area of Tackhouse Ct and Tackhouse Lp in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a robbery. The victim, an 18-year-old man of Bristow, reported to police that he made arrangements to conduct a narcotics transaction with four known acquaintances in the above area. During the encounter, one of the men pulled out a knife and demanded money and the narcotics. The victim was assaulted by the suspects before they dispersed on foot. Minor injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding – On August 11 at 11:17PM, officers responded to the area of River Rock Way and Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 30-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by a dark sedan occupied by five unknown men. During the encounter, the men got out of the vehicle and began punching the victim in the head. One of the suspects threw a brick at the victim striking him in the head causing a laceration. The victim was eventually able to flee the area and contact police.  The victim was treated at a local hospital with minor injuries. Officers checked the area for the suspects who were not located.  The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary – On August 11 at 8:19PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1400 block of Oregon Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30AM and 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a rear door which was found damaged. A computer laptop and tablet were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On August 9 at 2:44PM, officers responded to several apartments located in the 12700 block of Wood Hollow Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate several burglaries. Residents reported to police that the burglaries occurred between 8:00PM on August 1 and 9:00AM on August 2. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the apartments through rear doors and front doors which was found damaged. Several items taken were located in a vacant apartment nearby which had also been entered. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary –On August 8 at 5:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11900 block of Oakwood Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:45AM and 4:40PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a rear door which was found open. Multiple firearms, computers, jewelry, video games, and clothing items were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 11 at 8:05AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13800 block of Barrymore Ct in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a domestic assault. The investigation revealed that both of the accused, identified as Ivan Dustin ORTEGA and Kristine Junjmi HYON, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, both the accused began physically assaulting each other. At some point, ORTEGA pushed the victim to the ground and began to strangle her. Both parties eventually separated and contacted the police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, both of the accused were arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 12 at 1:39AM, officers were on routine patrol in the 3000 block of Golansky Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) when they observed a large group fighting in a nearby parking lot. Before officers could make contact with the group, two unknown suspects involved in the fight brandished handguns and began firing into the air. As the large crowd was dispersing, the suspects fled the area in a vehicle. A short time later, one of the suspects, identified as the accused, contacted the police to report that she had been assaulted in the above area and had fired shots into the air. Officers made contact with the accused at her residence in Woodbridge and recovered a firearm. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident. No injuries or property damage were reported. The investigation continues.
