Victim abducted at knifepoint from Portwood Turn apartment on April 11

Abduction | Missing Endangered Adult – On April 11th at 12:30AM, Prince William County VA police officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Portwood Turn in Manassas (20109) to investigate an abduction.

According to a report from Officer Jonathan Perok, police spokesman, the investigation revealed that the suspect forced his way into an apartment in the above area. Once inside, he assaulted an occupant of the apartment before retrieving a kitchen knife and forcing his way into the victim’s bedroom. The suspect then removed the victim from the home at knifepoint.

The other occupant was cut by the suspect during the encounter and received medical attention for his injuries.

The suspect and victim are known to one another. Currently, it is unknown whether the suspect and victim left in a vehicle or on foot. The identity of the suspect is also unknown.

Detectives have located photos of both the victim and the suspect. The victim is being classified as a missing, endangered adult based on this incident. The suspect does have local ties to the Manassas area and is possibly still armed with a knife.

This incident is considered isolated and there is no public threat at this time. Anyone with information on their whereabouts or the identity of the suspect is asked to call police at 703-792-6500.
