Robbery
On February 22, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9400 block of Taney Rd in reference to a report of an attempted robbery.  The victim stated that at approximately 9:30PM on February 22nd, he was walking along Grant Ave near Byrd Dr when he was approached by a female who appeared out of the common area between Byrd Dr and Taney Rd.  After a short exchange, the victim followed the female into the greens where she attempted to remove two gold necklaces from around his neck.  The victim managed to pull away, at which point the female then sprayed his face with hairspray and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
        Description of suspect: Short, light-skinned black female (25-40 years old), large build, wearing dark clothing with a dark winter hat that covered her ears

Assault
On February 22, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a citizen on the 10400 block of Dumfries Rd in reference to a report of assault.  According to the victim, he was taking the garbage out at approximately 10:05PM on February 22nd when two males approached him in the parking lot.  One of the suspects punched the victim in the face before the two of them fled southbound in a black Toyota with tinted windows.  The victim sustained minor injuries and told officers he did not know either of the suspects.
        Description of suspects: (1) Black male, approximately 5’-9” and heavyset, last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans; (2) Black male, approximately 5’-9” and skinny, last seen wearing a blue shirt and black jeans

Vandalism
On February 21, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9300 block of Gooseberry Dr for a report of a vandalism.  Upon arrival, officers discovered two holes in the victim’s main floor front windows that were caused by a BB gun, and additional BBs near the front door.  The victim believed the damage to the window, estimated at $500.00,  occurred at approximately 10:30PM on February 20th.

Breaking and Entering
On February 18, 2014 Manassas City Police responded to the 8400 block of Georgian Ct for a report of a person drunk in public.  According to the reporting party and the victim, the suspect was staggering around the neighborhood before attempting to enter a residence through a window on the 8400 block of Georgian Ct.  The suspect also attempted to enter same residence from the rear, and was seen trying to open several vehicles in its immediate vicinity.  The suspect did not make entry but caused $50.00 in damage to the window screen.

Peeping Tom
On February 22, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9100 block of Sudley Rd for a peeping tom complaint.  The victim told officers that between 7:00PM and 7:15PM on February 22nd, she observed a male watching her through her bedroom window as she got ready to leave her residence.  When the victim left five to seven minutes later, she saw the suspect (approximately 5’-9” with a medium build) fleeing on foot towards Grant Ave.

Assault
On February 23, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a citizen at St. Thomas United Methodist Church located at 8800 Sudley Rd for a report of an assault.  The victim told officers that he was in the parking lot shoveling snow at approximately 3:45PM on February 23rd when a male appeared, taking him by surprise.  The suspect made a comment to the victim about “hitting cars” then punched the victim in the face before fleeing in an unknown direction by an unknown mode of travel.  The victim sustained minor injuries.
        Description of suspect: Black male, approximately 6’-0”, overweight

Counterfeit
On February 25, 2014 Manassas City Police met with an employee at Shell Gas Station located at 10155 Hastings Dr for a report of counterfeit.  According to the store clerk, a female entered the store at approximately 10:45AM on February 25th and attempted to make a purchase using a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill.
