Three charges of strangulation filed in three separate domestic assault cases

Strangulation | Domestic Related *ARRESTS –
On July 20, Kelly Victoria APPLEGATE, who was wanted for a domestic assault which occurred at an apartment located in the 4200 block of Misty Ridge Dr in Woodbridge on July 14, was located and arrested without incident.
Arrested on July 20:
Kelly Victoria APPLEGATE, 38, of the 4200 block of Misty Ridge Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery
Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

Strangulation | Domestic Related [Previously Released] – On July 14 at 6:45PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4200 block of Misty Ridge Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 65-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim on the arm and the throat. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. The accused left the apartment prior to officers arriving. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Kelly Victoria APPLEGATE.  Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On July 20 at 2:25AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7800 block of Leland Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 21-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she   and the accused were involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical. During the encounter, the accused allegedly punched the victim before choking her. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted. The accused left the residence prior to officers arriving. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Hugo Enrique ARDON, Jr. The accused was located and arrested later that morning without incident.

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On July 20 at 2:21PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13900 block of Gary Fisher Trial in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that the accused, an acquaintance, was involved in a physical altercation with a 39-year-old woman and a 12-year-old male juvenile. During the encounter, the accused allegedly pushed the male juvenile then turned to the woman and choked her. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Charged with 1 count of strangulation and 2 counts of assault & battery
Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On July 20 at 12:45AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13500 block of Kona Noe Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM and 11:45PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. A gaming console and video games were reported missing.
