Suspicious event in Manassas prompts city police to ask for public’s help

Manassas City Police are seeking information in connection with an April 28 incident that occurred around 2:15 p.m. in the 9700 block of Main Street when a girl, 9, was approached outside her apartment building by a white male in his 20s. After a brief exchange, the male left in a van, according to the police report.

The victim sustained no injuries and her account of the suspect’s intentions are unclear, the police report stated.

The suspect is described as a “skinny” white male, in his early 20s with blond hair, past his ears to his jawline. He was wearing a black and white shirt with Batman logo, shorts with an American flag design and black sandals. He has a nose ring in his right nostril and a “Kill ME” tattoo on his right foot.
