Store employees restrain suspect, police officer injured in Best Buy incident

**ARRESTS**
Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On December 26 at 5:35PM, officers responded to the Best Buy located at 7665 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a disorderly man who had allegedly threatened customers, assaulted several store employees, and damaged property inside of the store.

When officers arrived, they located the man being restrained on the ground by several store employees. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he refused to comply with their commands and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the accused struck an officer in the face causing a minor injury. Additional officers arrived, and the accused was eventually detained without further incident. No other injuries were reported.

Upon further investigation, store employees reported to police that the accused entered the store yelling at customers and acting erratically. The accused then went behind the cash registers where he assaulted an employee before walking around the store yelling at customers. The accused then assaulted a store manager before damaging two display cases holding cell phones and phone cases. The accused assaulted a third employee before being restrained to the ground by four store employees prior to officers arriving.

Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Reginald Andre WRIGHT, was arrested.

Reginald Andre WRIGHT, 45, of 8058 Ashland Ave, Apt 5, in Manassas
Charged with 1 count of assault & battery on a LEO, 1 count of misdemeanor destruction of property, disorderly conduct, 3 counts of assault & battery, 1 count of disorderly conduct, and 1 count of intoxication in public, and 1 count of resisting arrest
Court Date: February 6, 2019 | Bond: Held on a $7,500 secured bond
