Scott Drive and Evans Street to be paved Nov. 17-21 in Manassas Park

City officials in Manassas Park report that the city has contracted with Branscome Paving, Inc. to resurface Scott Drive beginning Tuesday, Nov. 17 and ending Saturday, Nov. 21, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

In addition to Scott Drive, Branscome Paving, Inc. will resurface Evans Street beginning Wednesday, Nov.18, and ending Saturday, Nov. 21.

During this time, it is essential that cars not be parked on the street so that these operations can be performed safely and efficiently.

On-street parking is prohibited along posted areas of Scott Drive and Evans Street during this period. Any vehicles parked on the street during posted hours of construction will be towed at the owner’s expense.

If you have a specific need for extra parking during this time, the City asks that you park your vehicles in the lower parking lot at Costello Park adjacent to the Miracle League Field, which can be accessed from Lambert Drive and Colburn Drive.

If you require transportation between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. from your residence to a vehicle parked in this lot (or vice versa), please contact the Community Center at (703) 335-8872.

City officials said the paving contractor will do its best to ensure access to homes during the construction period. However, many aspects of the repaving process can pose hazards to persons and property, and we ask for your cooperation and vigilance to ensure safety of the public and to reduce the risk of damage to vehicles. We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during the completion of this project.

For questions or comments in regards to the roadway resurfacing program, contact the Manassas Park Department of Public Works at (703) 393-0881.
