PWC Police Department’s police beat - Nov. 8, 2016

**INCIDENTS**

Reckless Handling of a Firearm ā€“ On November 7 at 11:36AM, officers responded to the area of Westminster Ln and Westmont Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. Several witnesses reported to police that two unknown men were involved in a verbal altercation in the above area when one of the men brandished a handgun and began shooting at the other man. Both men then fled the area in a dark sedan and a red sedan. Officers checked the area and located an unoccupied vehicle with a bullet hole. No injuries or other property damage was reported. The suspect is only described as a black male with dark clothing. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary- On November 6 at 8:58PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7300 block of Kurt Kahn Trl in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:40PM and 8:45PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a window which was left unlocked.  Jewelry was reported missing. 

Residential Burglary- On November 6 at 7:32PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9200 block of Falling Water Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00PM on November 4 and 12:30PM on November 6. The investigation revealed that entry was made into an enclosed deck through a screen door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the interior of the home.  No property was reported missing. 

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding ā€“ On November 6 at 10:56AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9600 block of Heather Green Dr in Manassas (20112) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 22-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused threw a beer bottle at the victim striking her in the head causing a laceration. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police. The suspect then left the residence and was located a short time later by responding officers. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Charged with malicious wounding
Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond
