Bank Robbery (Previously Released)

On Dec. 8 at 10:43 a.m., police responded to the PNC Bank at 12650 Apollo Dr. in Woodbridge for a reported robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the bank and demanded money. No firearm was shown or implied. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency before fleeing the area in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. Lookout: White male, between 20 & 29 years of age, 5’08”-5’10”, thin build with blonde hair. Last seen wearing tan coat and tan pants.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

On Dec. 8 at 11:37 a.m., police responded to the area of Mapledale Avenue and Lindendale Road in Woodbridge for a report of a vehicle on fire in the grassy area near the power lines. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was involved in the bank robbery listed above. Evidence was recovered near the vehicle which connected the two incidents. Prince William County Police K-9 and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter were utilized in the search. No suspect(s) were located. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Prince William County on Nov. 29 and was determined to be a total loss.

ARRESTS
Sexual Battery

On Dec. 7 at 9:10 p.m., police responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at the Envoy of Woodbridge at 14906 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. The investigation revealed that the female victim, 49 of Woodbridge, was assaulted by another resident of the facility in her room. The accused was arrested and charged. Arrested: Jack Benjamin Calhoun, 66, of 14906 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. Charged with aggravated sexual battery and object sexual penetration. Court date unavailable, held without bond.

Domestic Assault and Battery / Abduction
On Dec. 7 at 8:39 p.m., police responded to the 17200 block of Wexford Loop in Dumfries for a domestic call. The female victim, 22 of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted her and prevented her from leaving the room or contacting help. The victim sustained minor injuries. The accused was still on scene and was arrested without further incident. Arrested: Daniel Riad Messiha, 33, of the 17200 block of Wexford Loop in Dumfries. Charged with abduction and domestic assault and battery. Court date unavailable, held without bond.

Carnal Knowledge
On Dec. 7 at 5:39 p.m., police responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred in the 18800 block of Hundred Acre Lane in Triangle. The investigation revealed that the female victim, 14 of Woodbridge, had met the accused on a social networking site. Their relationship progressed and turned sexual in nature. The accused was arrested and charged. Arrested: Kevin Bernard Jones Jr., 21, of 18824 Hundred Acre Lane in Triangle. Charged with carnal knowledge. Court date unavailable, held without bond.

INCIDENT REPORTS
Attempted Burglary

On Dec. 9 at 12:36 a.m., police responded to the 1900 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 4 p.m. Dec. 8 and 12:30 a.m. Dec. 9, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence by prying open the front door. No entry was made due to the deadbolt being in place. No items were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary
On Dec. 8 at 12:44 p.m., police responded to the 3800 block of Derby Ct. in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 7:15 a.m. and noon, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence by forcing open the front door. The door was not opened. No entry was gained and no items were reported missing.

Larcenies from Vehicles
On Dec. 8 at 5:19 a.m., police responded to the 9500 block of Mountwood Dr. in Manassas for a report of several larcenies from vehicles. The investigation revealed that a total of seven vehicles were targeted in the area above between 12:01 and 5:15 a.m. In all of the cases, entry was made by breaking one of the vehicles windows out. Miscellaneous items were reported missing. No suspects were located.
