PW Police report incidents involving guns and other weapons

**ARRESTS**

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 28 at 1:08AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4900 block of Lombard Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting in progress. When officers arrived, they made contact with a man matching the description of the suspect involved and detained him without incident. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the accused fired multiple rounds into the air while leaving his residence. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident. A firearm was recovered.

**INCIDENTS**
Armed Robbery – On January 28 at 8:43PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Occoquan Rd and F St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 27-year-old man of Maryland, reported to police that he was walking to his vehicle in the above area when he was struck in the back by an unknown object. When the victim turned around, an unknown man demanded money from the victim. During the encounter, the suspect punched the victim in the face which knocked him to the ground. The suspect then went through the victim’s pocket and took his cell phone and money before fleeing the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

Attempted Armed Robbery – On January 28 at 7:58PM, officers responded to Subway located at 8017 Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown, masked man entered the business brandished a handgun and demanded money. The employee then fled out a rear door and contacted police. The suspect was unable to open the cash register or safe before fleeing the business when a customer entered the store. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located.

Male of an unknown race or age, between 5’09”-6’00” with a medium build

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 28 at 9:05PM, officers responded to the area of Alton Hotel Ct and John Coffee Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call. Several callers reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the above area.  Officers checked the area and located several shell casings in the roadway. Further investigation revealed that a large group of unknown males were seen in the area. As the group left the area, several shots were heard. No injuries or property damage were reported.
