PW Police Dept. to give watch training Aug. 17 for houses of worship

Prince William County Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit is hosting a Worship Watch training for faith-based organizations on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, from 10 a.m. to Noon at the County’s Development Services Building, 5 County Complex Court, Rooms 202A and 202B, in Woodbridge (22192).

The training is open to all faith-based organizations. Seats are limited, so RSVPs are requested by Tues., Aug. 16th.

This workshop will provide information on how to create a safer house of worship. Topics include creating and enacting a safety team and building security, responses to active violence, crime reporting, emergency preparedness, and the Worship Watch program.
