Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Friday, April 8, 2016

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On April 8 at 3:56AM, officers responded to the area of the Dale Blvd and Trident Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 50 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was sitting in his parked vehicle in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, both of the men brandished handguns and demanded money. The suspects took the victim’s computer tablet and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area in a silver van.  No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
Suspect Descriptions:
White male, between 18 & 25 years of age, 5’5”, 180lbs with a medium build and black hair
Last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey shorts

White male, between 18 & 25 years of age, 5’8”, 160lbs with a thin build
Last seen wearing a black mask – No further description available

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On April 7 at 6:00PM, officers responded to the 6400 block of Steeple Chase Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a destruction of property. The caller reported to police that a hole was discovered on April 4 in the side of a vehicle which had been parked in the above area. Upon further inspection, a bullet was found lodged inside the vehicle. The incident reportedly occurred sometime between February 13 and April 4. No injuries were reported.

**ARRESTS**

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On April 7 at 10:38PM, officers responded to a residence located on the 15500 block of Laurel Ridge Rd in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a domestic. Officers arrived at the residence and eventually made contact with the accused.  During the encounter, the accused attempted to grab an officer by the throat. When the officers attempted to arrest the accused, he resisted and twisted an officer’s thumb. The accused was quickly detained without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
