Possible abduction from Walmart in Woodbridge; police ask for public’s help

Possible Abduction – On October 28 at 10:06PM, officers responded to the Wal-Mart located at 14000 Worth Ave in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a possible abduction.

Multiple witnesses reported to police that an unknown individual was seen being put into the trunk area of a dark-colored sedan by two men.

The incident occurred directly in front of the store around 10:02PM and was captured on the store’s surveillance cameras.

The video shows the sedan pull up in front of the store and two men exit, one from the driver’s seat and the other from the rear passenger seat.

The two men walk out of camera view for a few seconds before one of the men returns to the car and appears to open the vehicle’s trunk from the driver’s compartment. That man then walks back out of camera view once again. A few seconds later, both men reappear within camera view holding the victim from both sides walking towards the trunk area of the vehicle.

At one point, the victim appears to try and get away from the men and was unsuccessful. Once the body was put in the trunk, the suspects get back into the vehicle and quickly drive away.

Additional surveillance footage reviewed by detectives showed the suspect vehicle driving next to the victim for a short distance before the incident and that the victim appears to be engaged in a conversation with the vehicle’s driver.

Witnesses to the incident also reported to detectives that during the encounter, the victim and the suspects appeared to be possibly “play fighting” before the victim is placed in the trunk.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to please call police at 703-792-6500. The investigation continues.
