Pageland Lane reopens after closure for emergency repair

Pageland Lane in Gainesville between US 29 and VA 234 reopened to traffic around 1 p.m. Sept. 24, according to a news release from the Virginia Department of transportation.
The road was closed on Monday, Sept. 21. The work involved excavation to replace a large pipe that failed and then repaving the road.
A detour was established via US 29 and VA 234. Signs and message boards were in place to alert motorists.
