Officials of two different churches charged with indecent liberties

**ARRESTS**

Indecent Liberties by a Custodian – On July 7, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate inappropriate contact which was reported to have occurred at the Life Church located at 11234 Balls Ford Rd in Manassas (20109) in 2015.

The investigation revealed that the accused, a youth pastor at the church, sent inappropriate text messages and inappropriate touched the victim, a 16-year-old female juvenile, on more than one occasion between January and September of 2015. The contact allegedly took place at the church in Manassas.

Following the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant on August 17 for the arrest of the accused, identified as Jordan David BAIRD. The accused was located and arrested without incident at a residence in Fauquier County later that evening. A search warrant was subsequently executed at his residence. The investigation continues.

Charged with 2 counts of indecent liberties by a custodian

Indecent Liberties by a Custodian – On May 29, detectives from the Special Victims Unit were contacted by the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office concerning inappropriate contact which was reported to have occurred at the Greenwich Presbyterian Church located at 15305 Vint Hill Rd in Nokesville (20181) sometime in May.

The investigation revealed that the accused, the youth director at the church, had inappropriate contact on more than one occasion with the victim, a 16-year-old female juvenile. The contact took place at the former home address of the accused in Fauquier County and the church in Nokesville.

Following the investigation, detectives with Prince William County obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused on August 16. The accused was located and arrested without incident at his new residence in Fairfax later that afternoon.

Charged with indecent liberties by a custodian
Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held on a $3,500 secured bond

Commercial Burglary – On August 17 at 3:40AM, officers responded to the Babylon Cafe located at 3081 Golansky Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The business owner reported to police that he received an alarm activation from the alarm company. Upon reviewing the video surveillance system, an unknown male suspect was seen walking around the inside of the business.

As officers arrived, the suspect was seen exiting a rear door. When the officer challenged the suspect, he fled into some nearby woods. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was located and detained. Minor injuries were reported by the accused. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with burglary, grand larceny, and destruction of property

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 18 at 8:28PM, officers responded to the area of Leland Rd and Wells St in Manassas (20111) to investigate a disorderly. The caller reported to police that an unknown woman ransacked his backyard then walked away.

Officers arrived and located the woman walking in the area of Leland St and Centreville Rd. During the investigation, the accused was determined to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest. During the arrest, the accused actively resisted and kicked one of the officers to the lower body. The accused was eventually secured without further incident. Minor injuries were reported.

Denise Marie ARCHEY, 48, of 7601 Pine St in Manassas
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and public intoxication
Court Date: October 5, 2016 | Bond: Held on a $7,500 secured bond
