Manassas Police nab suspect in Dec. 7 bank robbery on same day
Armed Robbery ***ARREST***
On Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at approximately 8:36 a.m. officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the TD Bank located at 8401 Diggs Road for a report of an armed robbery.
The investigation revealed a male wearing a safety vest approached the teller’s window, displayed a firearm and demanded money. Prior to police arriving on scene, the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area in a vehicle. Upon further investigation, the suspect was located a short time later and taken into custody in Fairfax Va. No injuries were reported during the incident. The investigation remains on-going.
Arrested: Wilson, Wesley Philip, a 40-year-old resident of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
Charges: Armed Robbery x 2, and Use of Firearm in Commission of Felony.
Currently being held WITHOUT bond.
