Manassas City Police Beat - Sept. 17, 2015

Stolen Auto
On September 16, 2015, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9200 block of Byrd Dr for a report of a stolen auto.  The reporting party told officers that sometime between September 12th and 15th, someone stole his 2003 gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck valued at $8,000.00 from outside his residence.  Inside the vehicle were also three ladders valued at $1,500.00, a brake machine valued at $2,000.00, and a drill valued at $200.00.

Robbery
At approximately 5:50pm on September 14, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the 9300 block of Scarlet Oak Dr for a report of a robbery in progress.  The reporting party told officers that just moments prior, an unknown male subject approached him as he was parking his vehicle.  According to the victim, the suspect confronted the victim about the victim’s alleged involvement with the suspect’s girlfriend before taking the victim’s briefcase and striking him with it.  The suspect then fled on foot in the direction of Georgetown South.  The victim did not sustain injuries.
          Description of suspect: Black male, 5’8” with a thin build and short hair

Larceny
On September 14, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to Thousand Oak Barrel Co (9118 I Beam Ln) for a report of a larceny.  The reporting party told officers that sometime between 5:30pm on September 11th and 9:30am on September 14th, someone stole tools, an air compressor, and a camera, all valued together at $700.00.  There were no signs of forced entry into the building.
