Knives involved in domestic cases, two arrested, says police report

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On Dec. 13 at 10:57PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Hooe Rd. in Bristow (20136) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 30-year-old man, and an acquaintance were involved in a verbal altercation when a family member intervened. During the encounter, the family member, identified as the accused, brandished a knife and swung it at the victim several times, striking the victim’s jacket and arm. The victim fled the scene on foot and police were contacted. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Thomas J. DEVANNEY, was arrested.

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On Dec. 12 at 2:15PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10000 block of Post Oak Ter. in Manassas (20110) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 68-year-old woman, reported to police that she and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused took the victim’s glasses and threatened her with a knife. After a brief struggle, the parties separated, and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported by the accused who was treated by rescue personnel on scene. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Michael James BRADLEY Jr., was arrested.
