James Bricker, athletic coordinator and physical education teacher at Parkside Middle School, named Best Teacher in InsideNoVa’s annual Best of Prince William online contest. The popular coach led the school’s boys track team to become 2017 District Champions. Bricker also coaches football and assists with wrestling, according to a news release from Prince William County Schools.
Bricker is an active member of the Parkside Leadership Team, says Principal Mary Jane Boynton.
“Mr. Bricker is a passionate teacher, mentor, and future administrator. He takes his responsibilities very seriously, and his personal drive to meet the needs of his students is to be commended,” said Boynton.
“As a PWCS employee, he exemplifies our goal to ‘grow our own’ while continuing to provide the best for all students. Parkside is very lucky to have Mr. Bricker on its faculty, and I personally appreciate his willingness to learn, reflect, and perfect his craft as a future leader for PWCS.”
Parkside Middle School, a Cambridge International School, is located in Manassas.
