Carjacking suspect in hospital after losing control of car and crashing into Manassas home

Carjacking – On March 25 at 9:25PM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 8211 Old Centreville Rd. in Manassas (20111) to investigate a carjacking.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, reported to police that he left the vehicle running and entered the store. Upon returning to his vehicle, the victim encountered an unknown male inside. A struggle ensued resulting in the victim being pushed and the suspect fleeing in the victim’s vehicle.

While officers were investigating the incident, another officer was dispatched to a residence in the 8000 block of Maplewood Dr. to investigate a single vehicle crash into a home. The investigation revealed the suspect had stolen the vehicle before losing control and crashing into a home.

The wreck caused a gas leak within the house and power lines to fall. The suspect was on scene when officers arrived and was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

During a subsequent search of the suspect, marijuana was found on his person. Following the investigation, warrants have been obtained for the suspect, identified as Marlon Bradford SUMMERVILLE, and will be served upon the suspect’s release from the hospital.
