New Giant Food opens Nov. 19 in Manassas at Bull Run shopping center; West Gate Giant closing

Giant Food is opening a new store at 10864 Sudley Manor Drive. Manassas, on Friday, Nov. 19. The West Gate Giant will be closed.  Thomas Kuhlman, store manager from West Gate, is manager of the Sudley Manor Drive store.

Prescriptions are being transferred to the new location.The new store with wide 7-foot aisles includes a pharmacy right inside the front door, a pre-order/pick-up area, a wide assortment of ready-to-eat items, for lunch and dinner, and made daily in the store. In addition, there is a Starbucks nestled in a front corner with tables, chairs and wi-fi.

The Giant bakery cooks up fresh donuts daily among other baked goods, and makes cakes for many occasions (including picture cakes). There is a specific area for salmon and another especially for seafood, an array of cheeses from around the world, and a full service florist shop with seasonal plants and flowers. Aisles are at least 7 feet wide, 10 feet wide in the refrigerated areas.
